Volkswagen unit Electrify America said it will install Tesla battery storage packs at more than 100 charging stations across the United States to keep costs down for drivers charging electric vehicles.

With tariffs firmly part of the landscape, the choice is stark for most auto industry suppliers: absorb the extra cost, pass them on to customers or find ways to slash material costs.
