A landmark ruling in the debate over the use of aftermarket collision parts is about to be revisited.
Attorneys involved in the Avery v. State Farm class-action suit filed a petition in early September asking for the
Illinois Supreme Court to restore the more than $1 billion verdict against State Farm based on new evidence that
the insurance company provided significant financial support for the election of the Supreme Court Justice who cast
the deciding vote in the case.
