Take a quick glance through a magazine rack, or at the advertisements in a bus station or a shopping
mall, and you are likely to see dozens of square, pixilated bar codes. These Quick Response (QR) bar codes are
being used by marketers for a number of applications. Consumers scan the codes with the cameras on their smart
phones in order to access surveys, coupons or other content, and marketers get access to all sorts of demographic
information about their customers.
