SCRS says State Farm’s parts ordering system cuts repairers’ profits

The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) issued a release April 2 saying that State Farm’s
new parts ordering program that is being tested has been successful lowering the insurer’s costs but has done so by
cutting repairers’ and vendors’ profits. State Farm is testing a Parts Trader program that encourages parts vendors
to bid against one another by offering discounts off their list price to get the repair business.
